I just wanted to share a quick motif I made in honor of the Day of Love.  This square is from Darla Sims’s book “63 Crochet Cable Stitches.”  It is available at LeisureArts.com or at your local craft store.

This sample was made with Red Heart Love yarn in Burgundy, although it looks lighter in the picture.  This yarn is quickly becoming one of my favorites.  It has similar yardage as the classic Red Heart but it feels so much softer and a little cushier.  At around $5 a skein, the price is good as well.
